Contact Improvisation Fundamentals Workshop at PODs, Dec 8th

Contact improvisation is notoriously hard to describe. At the basis of the practice are the physical contact between two or more partners, the relation to gravity, and to the momentum of moving bodies. It’s about letting go of excess tension, waking up the reflexes and sense of balance, and working with weight. It is a very subtle way of interacting and negotiating through touch and movement.

The Workshop aims to provide some basic contact improvisation vocabulary: how to share weight; follow a rolling point of contact; give all one’s weight to someone else; make yourself light; modulate your weight; lift someone up; get used to being upside down; offer a plateau; connect to one’s center; use momentum; extend into falling; have your landing gear ready…

If it looks good, eat it.

Such as the wise words of Bizarre Food’s own, Andrew Zimmern.

Being the capital of bizarre food, or what’s left of it, Cambodia is nothing short of wild if you’re into making frequent trips to the loo. I’ve only seen it on TV, where Andrew would dramatically comment on his wild food adventure, or Bear Grylls with his comical way of expressing how terrible food tastes.

Either way, I’m not them, I’m a civilian; normal people just like you and I’m about to embark in a gastronomical adventure with honest opinion. That being said, I strongly suggest you watch this teaser video on my recent trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
